Anderson Smith is a self-taught contemporary artist, gallerist, and cultural entrepreneur originally from Chicago and based in Atlanta, Georgia. Smith’s passion for art began in childhood, where drawing and creativity first became a natural form of expression. During his high school years, athletics briefly redirected his focus, but the desire to create remained. In 2010, after meeting his late fiancée, Smith’s artistic path was powerfully reignited. A transformative trip to New York with her became a turning point, renewing his commitment to art and awakening a deeper understanding of his creative purpose.
After her passing, Smith embraced art fully, recognizing it not only as a calling but as a source of healing, direction, and personal truth. His work is shaped by resilience, love, memory, ambition, and the emotional force of lived experience. After several years of gallery representation, he opened his first gallery in Buckhead, creating a space where he could connect directly with collectors, designers, art lovers, and fellow creatives.
